ASUS X450 : 18 Months Later

Image
Source : www.asus.com If you live in the US, then you'll find many peoples carry around a MacBook. But I live in Indonesia, which means you'll look rich if you use an Apple device. But many peoples here who don't work a lot with computers tend to buy cheap Windows laptops, many bought laptops for less than ~$400. But they're usually powered by Intel Atom or Celeron Processors, which I don't want. So I've gone for the Asus X450, on paper this laptop is no joke, it ships with Intel Core i7-4720HQ, 4 GB of RAM, Nvidia 940, and 1 TB of hard drive. It costs about equal to ~$700. If you're looking for a cheap gaming laptop, then this might be fine. Dimensions and Case It's not very portable as a 14-inch laptop though. It weighs over 2.1 kilograms and its over 24 millimeters thick. The size of this laptop according to www.Asus.com is :   34.8 x 24.1 x 24.8 cm (WxDxH) As ever, cheap devices aren't well built, so does this laptop. Th

5 Annoying Things on Oppo F1s

1. Design I'm not a fan of Apple, while this phone tried so hard to look like an iPhone 6S Plus from 100 meters away. While they advertised this phone has sleek metal body, the only metal you can see is the back.  Looking closer at the back, there is 2 cheap plastic panels and the metal plate got scratched easily. And on the side the frame of the phone is also another cheap plastic with extensive paint to look like metal. The front side is quite nice-looking, fortunately. Its neat, clean, and still tried to look like an iPhone. The front is white, on the top there is a 16-megapixel camera, earpiece, and proximity&light sensor; on the bottom, there is a home button with fingerprint reader and capacitive buttons. 2. Display The display unit is 5.5-inch with HD resolution. Meanwhile the competitors with nearly same price tag have FHD display. While the display is bright enough, it's not sharp and vibrant. Also the display is surrounded by some additional black bez

Microsoft Lumia 640XL : 2 years later

Image
Microsoft phones 2 years ago Yes, today most kids won't even know about Windows Phones, since Microsoft has stopped making Windows Phone. Today, Android and iPhones took over the market. 2 years ago, Microsoft unveiled their new mid-range smartphones. The 5-inch Lumia 640 and the huge 5.7-inch Lumia 640XL. Lumia 640XL This phone is the larger version of the Lumia 640, the differences is that the 640XL has 5.7-inch HD display, 13 MP main camera with Carl Zeiss lens, 5 MP front camera, and 3000mAh battery. I bought this phone for about $250 and it came with 1-year office 365 bundle. And I got the glossy white color, which looks kinda good. This is not a flagship phone, so don't expect beautiful body or high end processor in it. The phone is covered in shell back cover, which is made of plastic. While up front there is a wide Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covering the display. The bezel is quite thick, and there is a small plastic lip around the glass, so the glass

Sony XB450 Headphones Review

Image
The Sony XB450 is a budget on-ear headphones. This headphones costs $59, but you can get it for $39.99 on amazon here . The XB450 is available in 5 different colors: Black, White, Yellow, Red, and Blue. I bought the Yellow one and it looks great. The headband is made from plastic, as you would expect on a budget device. But the ear pads are quite nice and comfy, it is covered with leather-like covering. Specs Impedance : 24Ω at 1kHz Driver Size : 30mm Frequency Response : 5-22.000Hz Sensitivities : 102 dB/mW Sony XB450 Swivel ear pads for mobility Image source : Sony In daily use this headphone feels quite light and comfortable for long time use. Using this headphone while lying on bed feels nice and comfortable. The ear pads could rotate so you can carry the headphone flat. The sound is clear and crisp, and if you have phones with equalizer, you can change the way it sounds. On my Oppo F1s, I can change the amount of bass, baritone, and treble. Equalizer

OPPO F1s review after 5 months

Image
The OPPO F1s has been my daily phone for 5 months, and I feel satisfied with this phone. It's a mid-class smartphone with 5.5 inch display, so this is a big phone. Oppo F1s source : gsmarena.com This phone has a 2.5D glass on the front, and metal body on the back which feels very good, the phone also have a nice grip on hand, which I like. I'm not using this phone with a case, since using a case on this phone ruins the metal body feel and grip. I've used this phone for 5 months, and I haven't dropped it accidentally, so you shouldn't be worried about this phone slipping from your hands. But there are some little scratches on the back, but I don't regret to keep my phone case-less. The F1s is a selfie focused phone, so that it has 16-megapixel camera on the front, and 13-megapixel main camera with an LED flash. Picture quality is quite nice, but the front cam takes better shots compared to the main camera. The camera takes picture qui
